Launched in 2024, J-Card is my independent publishing company. We have one focus: to produce short biographies of the best alternative, indie rock, hip-hop, and riot grrrl groups of the past twenty to thirty years.

So far we've published books about Brainiac, De La Soul, AFI, Fountains of Wayne, Laughing Hyenas, the Apples in Stereo, and Sammy. 

Each biography covers the entire arc of a group's career: how they formed, why they're important, and how they fit into both their regional scene and a larger historical context. 

Books are available online wherever books are sold, and in select book stores and record stores. 

Every band has a story. J-Card tells a few each year.
